Spa Review: Mandara Spa, Renaissance KL

Nothing screams relaxation more than a spa treatment when we're on a staycation in the city. Mandara Spa at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel is a luxurious urban retreat located on Level 3 of the hotel at the East Wing.

The specially designed two-storey spa features two Double and five Single Deluxe Spa Suites with en-suite bath and steam shower to provide you with the ultimate spa journey. Relaxing foot massage, manicure and pedicure treatments are available in a designated area.

In Malaysia, Elemis products are available only in Mandara Spa.

Range of products available for purchase at the Spa Boutique

The Spa Menu offers a range of treatments incorporating the wisdom of ancient cultures with the latest Spa science from Elemis spa-therapies. The bestselling massage at Mandara Spa is the Balinese Massage (RM195 for 50 minutes, RM310 for 1 hr 20 mins). For the full spa menu, please click here.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the soothing aroma of essential oils and calming spa music.
My therapist, Eve serves a cold ginger tea for me to enjoy while she introduced the four different types of essential oils available - Mandara Oil, Island Spice Oil, Harmony Oil, and Tranquility Oil. She explain the benefits of each oil and assists me in choosing the best one for my needs. I went for the Tranquility Oil since I have been travelling a lot in the past week, and this is especially good for those recovering from jetlag or travel fatigue.

See you in the next 50 mins, mummy is off to get some pampering ;)

I was then escorted to the spa suite to change, followed by 50-minutes of pure bliss and pampering. Eve begins with a gentle foot scrub, adding lemongrass (for purifying), lavender (for relaxing) or peppermint (for refreshing) to the foot bath as per the customer's request. I was then asked to lay on my back while Eve worked her magic with her hands.

The Balinese Massage is a traditional therapy used for centuries to renew, strengthen and heal both the body and mind. It combines stretching, long strokes, skin rolling, and palm and thumb pressure techniques to relieve tension, improve blood flow, ease stress and calm the mind. Eve applied just the right amount of pleasure on my body, and I felt immensely relaxed and rejuvenated by the end of the massage.

A hot ginger tea is served after the treatment

Thanks Mandara Spa for the invigorating experience:)
